Known for his wild physical style and sharp crowd work, Claude’s act draws comparisons to legends like Steve Martin, Robin Williams, and Jim Carrey, with a twist of Don Rickles.

Raised in Mississippi by a lawyer dad and teacher mom, Claude was always the class clown — and often cross-examined for it. He turned that family dynamic into fuel for his comedy, mixing clever writing with a courtroom-style delivery that’s both smart and hilarious.

Claude got his start on morning radio before launching a thriving stand-up and TV career. You’ve seen him in national commercials (Honda, Heineken, Doritos), hit shows like That 70s Show, Scrubs, Will & Grace, and films including Starship Troopers and Road Hard. Tonight, April 5th, 2025, I went to JP's Comedy Club with my parents, and it was amazing. I can't recommend it enough. I'm from Chicago, and I've been to Second City and the Laugh Factory, but JP's Comedy Club was way better. Seriously, those places felt like nothing compared to the show I saw tonight. If you want sketch comedy, go to Second City, but if you're in the mood for great stand-up, head to JP's. I laughed so hard I started crying! Plus, one of the comedians roasted me—how crazy is that? I had an awesome time.

2nd time to JP'S, and we had a great time. They keep the show going with a lineup that has you laughing the entire show. The 2 drink purchases are reasonable.

The show was great and you can not ask for a perfect date night. All of comedians made us laugh, a lot. See you guys soon. We come all the way over from Thomas and 40th Street to come here and it is worth it!

As a nationally touring comedian who’s performed everywhere from smoky bars in Detroit to fancy theaters where they make you pee in gold-plated urinals, I can confidently say—this club is one of my absolute favorites.

The vibe? Immaculate. The audience? Hot. The staff? Even hotter. Jim and his entire family don’t just run the place—they are the place. They treat comedians like royalty and the audience like honored guests (unless you heckle—then you’re on your own, pal).

Whether you’re looking for killer laughs or just need to forget your mortgage for 90 minutes, this venue delivers every time. Highly recommend.

Great local comedy club. Very fun atmosphere and fun date night idea. We had a lot of laughs and definitely planning on going again. Major plus is that it’s a family owned club.

LOVE the talent at JP’s! If you want to spend 1 1/2 hrs. Laughing until your sides hurt, then you need to spend it at JP’s Comedy Club!

Went to see my high school buddy Josh Firestine headline and it was a great experience. The opening comics were funny, prices were very reasonable and the staff was very friendly. I’ll definitely return. 10/10.

We had a wonderful experience at this comedy club. We had a group there for a birthday party and everyone in our group was so impressed. We will definitely be going back!

This family owned comedy club was very nice and intimate. Nice location in Gilbert, which is nice because it's bringing comedy to the east valley. The comedians were hilarious. If you get the chance, do yourselves a favor, and get to a show!

I celebrated my birthday here last night and we had the greatest experience! Janelle is AMAZING and all the comedians were hilarious. We had a large party and they were very accommodating. By far, my favorite comedy club

This place is like a home away from home. The owner and his family are super sweet and accommodating to my step brother who has cerbal Palsey. Each time we go they make sure he is able to get to and from our table. He has also done the owner's comedy class during the summer and was able to win top three out of 16 during his first showcase! 🎉 While learning and practicing for his showcase, the owner and staff helped make sure he can get near the stage to be seen/heard by everyone(can't go on stage due to his 1,000+ pound electric wheelchair). I absolutely love this place and highly recommend it to everyone who wants a good night out by having a good laugh. The comedians who showcase here are also very sweet and help make the club feel like a home 😁

Looking for a good night of laughter, without having to drop a few hundred dollars? We love stand up, and this place is awesome! I LOVE that it is family owned and operated. So your dollars support LOCAL business and LOCAL families.
They do a fantastic job at supporting up and coming comedians. We always have a great time! Give them a try!

My first time visiting and am already excited to return. I laughed from the start to the end and then the entire drive home recapping in my head!
While the comedy line up killed it, the friendly service from getting tickets to drinks and even leaving was superb beyond measure, I appreciated the exit salutations from those who performed. I felt at home and could let loose and just laugh. This place nailed it.

Fantastic locally owned and operated club! I’ve been several times and each time, and each time has been fantastic. Great variety of talent. If you like to laugh, you need to come check this place out.

DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME!!!!

Seriously I was blown away with how awesome all of the acts were. Literally every single person that got up on the stage was funny! The Family owned vibe of the venue was felt and I will absolutely be coming back again.

This is the perfect place to bring a date or just hang out with your friends.

If you are tired of doing the same old same old, you need to check out JP's Comedy Club and have some fun!

I have been to JPs 2 times in the last year. What a great place. It features local talent, and sometimes brings in others from around the country. Intimate, fun venue. Love supporting local, family business.

I have been to other comedy class sessions at other places in the valley and by far JP's Comedy Class has taught me more than those other sessions combined. JP is professional, dedicated, and compassionate to help with any avenue you plan to pursue in comedy. I am 100% certain JP's Comedy Class will help if you want to learn about comedy or brush up on your skills- JP's is definitely the comic haven for learning, laughs, and a great freaking time and atmosphere!

I knew I liked comedy clubs, but now I love them. This was my first experience at JPs and seriously had the best time ever. The comedians are hilarious as well as the owners. I love that this is a smaller venue. It makes it so much more enjoyable and you really feel the entire experience. We went here for my birthday and honestly one I'll never forget. I'll definitely be back and absolutely recommend everyone to go!

Great place but definitely have a sense of humor! It was awesome seeing the a family owned business especially in these times. Me and my mother went here for the first time absolutely fell in love with the homey setting! All the comics were phenomenal I guarantee you’ll get a laugh here. I can’t wait to see the future of this club it is truly amazing!

Great small venue set up! They did a nice job of using the space creating an intimate setting. They had some great comics! Our friends were here from out of town and I wanted to stay closer to home vs driving into Phoenix. I recommend for a nice evening out in Gilbert.

My husband and I went here for the first time last night. It was a very small and intimate club. When you walk in, you're taken to the check-in/drink counter where you get your first drink and a drink token, then you're seated. We sat in the front row, which was very close to the stage. I liked that we were so close but my husband wasn't the biggest fan of that. The club was very clean, the bathroom was really nice too. Most of the comedians we saw on stage were funny and had a great vibe. The owner took the stage a few times and he ended up being one of my favorites, which surprised me. This was the first time we'd been to a comedy club in Arizona, the last time was when we were still in Cali. It was a lot of fun. It's a small business, which makes it feel very cozy and homey and it's obvious that they care a lot about the guest experience. Overall, we had a fantastic time and we're both looking forward to going back, we're already planning our next trip.

One of the best experiences at a comedy club. The owners were nice and very good to my family. The atmosphere is very welcoming and we really enjoyed the comedians.
