Events and Tickets

Ongoing comedy classes held most Saturdays at 2PM. In this class one can expect to learn about stage presence, joke construction, joke formulas as well as in-depth comedy writing techniques and tips on how to get booked for comedy and acting gigs across the country. This class is designed for people wanting to learn stand-up comedy, people who just want to be funny at home, socially or at work and for current comedians looking to strengthen their acts. After teaching high school for 12 years, Cory Michaelis "retired" to do comedy full time because he wanted to try out both of the lowest paying jobs in America. Cory has a Dry Bar Comedy Special -"Bad Teacher" - that snagged over 60 million views. His debut album, "The Collage Dropout," was released by 800 Lb. Gorilla Records and charted at #2 on iTunes & Billboard (because it was the only album released that week). Cory was a finalist in the Seattle Comedy Competition which means he didn't win and was in Season 2 of Netflix's "Huge in France" with Gad Almelah. In addition to headlining comedy clubs all over the US and Canada, Cory has taken his act global, doing tours in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Pakistan. He also produces Everett Comedy Night in hometown which has had 10 straight years of nearly sold out shows. His act is sharp and irreverent and not suitable for the high school students he used to teach.

The hotel restaurant featured a magician who dazzled John with his sleight of hand. The finale of his performance involved a card John signed finding its way into a zippered compartment in the magician’s wallet. The next day, John’s dad took him to Easley’s Fun Shop in downtown Phoenix and a career was born. A decade later John was introduced to the wonder of the sideshow world where he learned many weird and wonderful stunts. His passion for magic and sideshow combines in his performances to create truly one-of-a-kind shows. Over a career that has spanned nearly 20 years, John has appeared on every major TV network in the nation and has traveled across the country to amaze audiences with his unique abilities. Along with his work as a performer, John also is a technical and creative consultant working with some of the top names in magic. Additionally, parts of his original magic presentations have been seen on TV around the world. John has used his skill to promote various products using magic, from chewing gum and pain reliever to a presidential candidate.
