It all began in church at the age of five... One Sunday, the preacher called all the kids at the Southern Baptist church to the front to ask some questions in front of all the adults. When the preacher asked a small tow-headed boy what he thought hell would be like, the boy replied, "Preacher, hell will be hotter than the Walmart parking lot on the Fourth of July barefoot." The church erupted with laughter, the little boy was hooked on the sound and a comic was born. Fast forward 25 years and Tim Gaither has been on the comedy circuit for a decade, working in 34 states so far and even going as far as Korea for the USO and our troops. In January 2009, Tim officially moved to Hollywood. In addition, Tim appeared on The Bob and Tom Show and earned the honor of "Best of Festival" at the Detroit International Comedy Festival. Tim Gaither is hilarious and a heckler's nightmare. He has great material, a quick wit and a wide range of original characters and stories, all spun together with Midwestern charm. Dyen For Laughs presents Comics Unlimited, a show where anything goes.  This show will feature headliner, Vargus Mason!!! The media first dubbed “THE HUMAN CARTOON” as a finalist for the 2002 San Francisco Comedy Competition.  Since then, he’s expanded his highly physical movements and arsenal of animated voices to make you wet your pants. His humor has been seen on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, Comics Unleashed & Entertainers with Byron Allen, BET’s Comic-View and VH1.  Vargus was Comedy Central’s online red-carpet host for the Celebrity Roast of Flavor Flav. His Human Cartoon Nickname must have been prophetic, as you can currently hear Vargus on the Disney Lion King revamp series the “Lion Guard” as Cheezi the Hyena, Doc McStuffins, Sophia the First, Hanazuki for Titmouse and is a contract VO artist for Nickelodeon Animation Studios.  Catch him on Netflix’s Inside Job, Pinky Malinky and We Lost Our Human. Vargus takes a great deal of pride performing abroad for the military, having traveled to nearly 40 countries as an entertainer for the U.S. Troops.  If you can’t catch Vargus on television or on tour, he can be seen at various LA playgrounds getting his butt kicked by two daughters.
